Hey guys,

I'm busy packing my bag and still a bit unsure of what i need for race day. I've seen a lot of video, read blogs but want to gauge opinions here. Here's my general clothing summary;

4am start - beanie, arm sleeves and gloves, t-shirt, shorts - Is that crazy or about right?

Daytime  - shorts, shoes, a lot of sunscreen, hat and shades. (Over Hope Pass - rain jacket option)

Night time - long-sleeve T, jacket, training pants, beanie and gloves (going with a jacket and pants if I am crawling back in at a slow pace only)

Anyone LT veterans have an opinion on gators too for the course. I have never worn them for any trail running to date but have a pair on standby.

# shoes to wear? I'm thinking at least 3 changing after the river crossing asap

That's pretty much exactly what I wore last year.

I would recommend only changing shoes once--in Twin Lakes inbound (you'll be done with water at that point).  Changing more than that isn't necessary (unless for some other reason).

If we have normal weather, that's about right.  I change some gear if its raining.

I don't wear gators.  I think you see those more on newbies but vets don't mess.

Most everybody changes at TL inbound.  Others are just for comfort or specific needs.  I change shoes when I climb.
