A resource for runners who like to suffer.
Planning on hosting a few ad-hoc training events in Leadville this summer. Using my house there as a basecamp and then doing some longer-ish runs were we can setup carpools and such. Mostly thinking July at this point, because I will be focused on Western States in June. Then doing a few final events in August like our annual night run.
Who's interested?
What types of training events would you be interested in? Long/short? Specific course sections? Hanging with other newbies, prior finishers, studs?

Trying to figure out where to run tomorrow. Not sure if we'll do the lake and Powerline on Saturday like you, BF, or if we'll hit the marathon course up Mosquito. I've always just wanted to run as far as I can on Hagerman as well. Too many options!

Permalink Reply by Stos on June 11, 2012 at 9:29am I could be up for a night run. I have to work during the day Saturday, but could do that night, or anytime on Sunday. I live in town, so I am very flexible on times.
Permalink Reply by Brandon Fuller on June 11, 2012 at 9:47am I just posted my annual night run on the events page here:

Permalink Reply by Rachael StClaire on July 1, 2012 at 9:04am I live in Denver and would love to join folks for runs in the Leadville area, would love to do 4 Pass near Aspen, and other long trail training runs, perhaps in the Moab area too. Does anyone feel like they can set some dates yet? Ran the Silver Rush 50 last year, and passed a runner for the last 50 of the 100. This year's Leadville 100 will be my first 100. I want to finish!
Permalink Reply by Jay Aldous on July 2, 2012 at 9:08pm I'm planning on running all/most of the course one-way July 5,6, or 7. Is anyone interested in a car swap, coordinating a shuttle, etc.?
Permalink Reply by Rachael StClaire on July 3, 2012 at 9:16am Hi Jay. I am free of work on Saturday or Sunday this weekend and could join you. Ive wanted to do the same thing but the logistics are difficult without a second car and leaving water and nutrition at key points. I did pace someone last year for the inbound 50 and ran most of the course over the Training Camp weekend. I would not be moving fast because I am also running the Silver Rush 50 the following weekend. Let me know if Saturday or Sunday works at run.run.run@me.com
I am in Leadville from now until the Silver Rush 50. If anyone is in town and interested in running parts of the Silver Rush 50 course between now and the race, please email me at chadbrackelsberg@yahoo.com or call me at 612-599-6892.
